2. Google has put together an online resource to provide information about Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. Google has pulled information from a variety of sources- the National Hurricane Center, Red Cross, weather.gov, NYC government, Storyful, and the US Naval Research Laboratory, among others.

According to the New York Times, Google also did a similar project for Hurricane Katrina and set up a “person finder” after the Japanese earthquake
