choice

Class Tuesday, March 22, 2016

 Today’s goal:

  • Work independently on class-related activity of choice

 Things to do:

  • You have a choice to do one of the following activities:
    1. Go to the “Cool Stuff” page on the class website and pick some things to look at, check out, and/or do.
    2. Follow this HTML/CSS tutorial: https://learn.playto.io/html-css/lesson/0
    3. Try some of these HTML and CSS challenges
    4. Watch one of these videos from Harvard’s Intro to Computer Science course, CS50: https://manual.cs50.net/seminars/ (headphones available on bottom bookshelf or can use own)
    5. Check out this infographic about top web design trends for 2016, pick one of the trends that sounds interesting to you, and start finding out as much as you can about it by Googling it and finding examples.
    6. Other web design-related activity of your choice- if you have your own idea of something you want to work on, let me know.
    7. Optional: Check out more than one thing and/or also look at this developer survey by Stack Overflow to see what developers get paid, what programs they code in, etc.
    8. When you’re done: Tell me what you did and at least one new thing that you learned. You can email me (agoldsberry@medford.k12.ma.us), use a paper Post-it, or use a digital Post-it on your computer.
