February’s featured farm-to-school Harvest of the Month: butternut squash!

Today you will create media to promote the use of butternut squash in February’s school lunch.

You will also get to sample a butternut squash recipe.

Using the information provided by Dominica about butternut squash, you will create media for the Farm to School webpage and the school district’s social media.

You can use the following:

– Pixlr.com (create collage or image with text)

– Easel.ly (create infographic)

– ThingLink (create an interactive image)

– Another program or app of your choice (you can be creative)

Don’t forget to use bing.com to find images (click images, search for an image, then under license choose free to share and use so you get image results that are ok to use)

You will also need some facts about butternut squash and the dates in which it will be served (February 9, apple cider-glazed butternut squash; February 25, roasted butternut squash).
