1.  Update your LinkedIn profile

Add CSS as a skill!  Also, add HTML if you haven’t done so already.

2.  CSS questions?

Please feel free to add any questions or comments about CSS here.

3.  Online portfolios

You’re going to begin creating an online portfolio of your work.  You will do this on your page on the class website (remember these?).

The point of the portfolio is to show off work you’re proud of.  You will continue to add stuff to your portfolio as you learn and create new things this year.

Your goal today is to begin adding your work to your portfolio page.  You should have at least one or two items.

To begin:

a.  Think about everything you’ve created in class and what you’re especially proud of (a webpage, an infographic, a collage, maybe one of the pool photos on the school website, etc.).

b.  Choose at least one or two items that you think are your best work so far (remember, you will be adding to this or changing this throughout the year).

c.  I have created a “My Portfolio” page for everyone that is linked off of your page.  You are free to edit this link- change the text, maybe add an image to serve as the link, whatever you want.

d.  Log into the class website and go to your new portfolio page, which is a subpage of your page (look for it under your name in Pages).  If you don’t remember your user name or password, see me.  Go here to log in.

e.  Post your work to your portfolio page.  If you want to post a webpage you created, it is best to take a screenshot and post it as an image.  You can edit the screenshot in Paint or Pixlr.com.
