1. Someone is missing!!

2. You will receive your first project grade this year on your class page. Everyone did a great job commenting on others’ pages and responding to comments.

I will call each student individually into my office to show you your grade spreadsheet. While you’re waiting, check these out:

Is it possible to completely remove yourself from the internet?

Signs you spend too much time online.

3. Last week we talked about Google turning 15. See where Google began.

Google has changed over the past fifteen years. From the NYT:

“Now, Google, the world’s most popular search engine, will focus more on trying to understand the meanings of and relationships among things, as opposed to its original strategy of matching keywords.”

Also related: what really happens when you send an email using Gmail?

Guess who else is also 15 (not you)!

4. A discussion about Google brings us to today’s lesson on web tools. Before you get deeply involved in creating content for the internet you should know about some basic web tools.

How do you find out information about a website such as its owner and host?
