1. We spoke about Google Glass last week, Google’s new augmented reality glasses, and watched a video to experience them. Now check out this infographic that explains how Google Glass works.

2. We spent last week talking about the mobile web, and different ways to design for it and to experience it- responsive design, mobile websites, and apps. We will explore each of those after break and you will create a responsively design site, a mobile website, and an app before the end of the year.

3. Nowadays it seems everyone wants to be a part of a technology start up and come up with the next big thing.

4. Speaking of Big Things, Facebook wants to be your Android portal to the internet.

What do you think of this? Would you want this? Why or why not?

You watched part of The Social Network earlier in the year. We’re going to watch it together as a class the next couple of days.

Some questions:

How does the Facebook in the movie compare to what Facebook is now?

Facebook has come a long way. Now most people experience Facebook on a mobile device. Do you think Facebook’s founders imagined Facebook would be where it is today?

What do you like about Facebook? What don’t you like? Why?

Does this movie make you want to run out of the building and start your own company (I know I did when I first saw this in the theater!)?
