Welcome Back!

Adobe CS4 Continued

We’re going to pick up with Adobe CS4 and will work with various programs at least for the next three classes.

Today you will learn how to create a web photo gallery using Adobe Bridge.

Please follow the instructions below. I will walk you through these but they are posted here as well in case you need them.

1. Decide on a theme for your photo gallery and get ten images. Please do this quickly. It could be cute dogs, cool cities, ugly hats, whatever. If you can’t decide on something I will provide you with some photos. Do a Google image search and save ten images somewhere you will find them (your desktop or folder, for example). Keep them all in the same place.

2. Open Adobe Bridge. There is a short cut on your desktop to all of your Adobe programs- click on Adobe Bridge CS4.

3. Navigate to your photos and make sure they are all selected.

4. On the top menu bar, click Window, Workspace, Output.

5. On the right click Web Gallery.

6. Now you will start building your gallery. You will go through all of the options in that right panel.

7. Choose a template and a style for your gallery. You can always preview this or just go through with it and then decide to do another one after. It all goes very quickly- you will see.

8. Fill in all of the info (Title, name, etc.)

9. Choose some colors by clicking on the boxes.

10. Choose the slide duration, transitions, etc. You probably don’t want the file name to show so just leave that unchecked.

11. Give the gallery a name.

12. Click save to disk. Then browse for a location on your computer like the desktop.

13. Click save and your gallery will be created instantaneously.

14. To see your gallery find where you saved it on your computer. Click on the folder that was created. Click on the file that says Index. You should now see your gallery.

15. How you would get that online is another story. You will learn about that soon!
