Ugly Holiday Website Extravaganza!

Your mission is to create the ugliest holiday website possible!

In doing so, you will practice using most of the new CSS you’ve learned over the past couple of weeks.  You will also learn how to add other effects to your website using JavaScript, a programming language often used in web development to make websites interactive.

Everyone will begin with the same template.  You should modify it by changing fonts, colors, backgrounds, etc.  Here are some things to incorporate (remember, you can always copy and paste things from other webpage you’ve worked on in NotePad++):

– Google Fonts (direct link here or check out the instructions, too)

Color list

Text shadows

– Border styles (solid, dotted, dashed, double, groove, ridge, inset or outset)

An ugly holiday background pattern

A Christmas tree made from CSS

– Other ugly images you can find through a Bing.com image search (remember, under License, select Free to share and use)

– Maybe some free icons

– Styled links (go here to find the code or look at one of your old webpages in Notepad++)

Add some flashing lights (animated gif)

– Add some snow (two steps, JavaScript)

Add some snow (one step, JavaScript)

Turn your cursor into Santa Claus (JavaScript)

Start with this code and then copy and paste it into a new Notepad++ file.  Save as uglyholiday.html or something like that!
