0.  Today’s featured website:

What do you think this website will say on Christmas?  Why?  Don’t forget to right click and choose view source to see what’s going on behind the scenes.

1. Computer Science Education Week
December 8-14

Pres. Obama

Today we’re going to take advantage of the fun tutorials made available for Hour of Code activities this week.

Please choose something to do from the following:

a.  http://code.org/learn (tutorials on code.org)

b.  Khan Academy (tutorials on Khan Academy)

c.  These aren’t Hour of Code tutorials, but feel free to check them out: videos about different programming languages, an HTML/CSS tutorial, “hacking” tutorials on diy.org, or helpful videos from a guy named Bucky

d.  Post an explanation on your page on the class website about HTML and CSS and how they work together to make a webpage.  Remember, most people don’t know how to make a webpage and don’t know code, so your knowledge is valuable and helpful!  If you were going to explain to someone how to create a webpage, where would you begin?  What resources would you suggest?

e.  Find something on our Cool Stuff page, try it out, and write a reflection about it on a Post-it.  You can also suggest something for this page but I need to know why; you can also write this down on a Post-it.
